and this san francisco. as we take a look at the satellite and radar picture the wet weather is still to the north. it is not in the bay area just yet but the increase in cloud coverage. the of tech in wind later tonight and of course we have wet weather that will make landfall. the futurecast. mainly through santa rosa, petaluma just a light rain to begin. as we go for overnight this yellow is indicating moderate/heavy. that will continue to grow its way south. approaching the golden gate it. everybody will wake up to showers with areas of heavy rainfall for tomorrow. keep your umbrella candy. it is going to be wet with 4 in. of rain fall in the north bay and 1 in.-3 in. everywhere else 54 degrees expected in fairfield. 57 in the pleasanton, vallejo, livermore, your kron 4 7 day around the bay wet weather will stick around into the weekend. it is certainly going to be wet. but the good news is that the temperatures are not that bad. with low 40's. as we go for this monday, the slight possibility of rainfall. however, sunshine possible for the afternoon. mostly sunny skies for christm

to work. just watching an interesting computer model. it's been a deluge, awful travel in san francisco the last couple of days. for tomorrow, watch california, here comes a next system. so another day in san francisco and seattle with rain. by monday, the west coast clears out. but here's the little interesting nugget that could happen. on monday, watch what happens here in the gulf. moisture comes up from the gulf, an area of low pressure develops. this is the deep south. birmingham to new orleans to atlanta, could be a wet christmas. rain, not a white one. then we could see this area of low pressure develop, and it's from tuesday to thursday in the mid-atlantic and northeast, we could be looking at another storm. we'll have to keep our eyes on that model. forecast, though, for today, pretty blustery. watching us from the northeast, new york city could see a few snow showers coming down. but the winds are pretty strong. so it's pretty chilly. so some snow in western great lakes. of course, we're seeing that, the lake-effect snow guns firing off. another wet day on the west coast, rand

's office in new jersey. also this weekend across the country, in oakland and san francisco, the same scene. a record-breaking gun buyback. almost 600 guns taken off the streets. each gun exchanged for $200. people waited in long and cold lines for hours for the chance to make that exchange in oakland and san francisco. the guns the city has collected will be cross referenced with a database to make sure they were not used in any crime. and then those guns will be melted down and turned into less deadly things like park benches and signposts. i bet if anybody needed plowshares, they could make those too. those weapons in california were collected by the police, but the buyback part was funded by nonprofit groups, including $100,000 donation from a guy who runs a medical marijuana dispensary. and apparently that's a good way to make a lot of money. in brooklyn, new york, this weekend, people went to trade guns for debit cards at two different locations. the program was run by the police and the brooklyn district attorney's office. more than 130 guns were turned in in exchange for up to $200
